Vice President
Dan brings great energy and 20+ years of experience as a marketing professional and business leader to help meet client challenges. With his collaborative leadership style, he has a passion for guiding new strategic directions and communications plans that deliver results.
Dan has led nonprofits of differing sizes and missions, trade-focused and cause-oriented, national and international. He recently served as executive director of Innovation Network, a nonprofit evaluation firm that works with organizations such as the Annie E. Casey Foundation, CapitalOne, the Duke Endowment, the Hewlett Foundation, and the Washington Area Women’s Foundation. Dan is also the former president of the Building Owners & Managers Institute (BOMI), a nonprofit educational organization that provides certification and training to nearly 10,000 commercial real estate professionals annually.
Dan has worked for Crosby since the mid-1990’s, managing a range of nonprofit, healthcare and real estate accounts. He cut his communications teeth in the D.C. trade association world, and one dramatic but inglorious year on a national political campaign. Dan’s most memorable job was the college summer he spent on the back of a garbage truck where he learned the true value of a hard day’s work.
Outside the office, Dan and his wife, Susan, volunteer as marriage preparation sponsors and are active in the various activities of their two young children. In his “spare time,” he writes plays and fumbles around on his Stratocaster guitar.
