Crosby Staff become 'Actioneers' for a day of service, Inspiring Actions that Matter throughout the communityANNAPOLIS, Md. (September 19, 2013) – Annapolis-based Crosby Marketing Communications, one of the country’s leading integrated communications firms, is celebrating 40 years in business.  To commemorate the milestone anniversary, the company closed its Annapolis, Md., headquarters and Washington, D.C., office on September 12, so staff members could participate in day-long service projects with local charities and nonprofit organizations.

“We decided to celebrate our anniversary by living our mission of Inspiring Actions That Matter™ and giving back to the community that has given so much to us,” said Ralph Crosby, the company’s founder and chairman.

The Crosby team donated more than 360 hours of community service in a single day through service projects ranging from sorting and packing donated items at the Anne Arundel Food Bank; sprucing up the grounds of Hospice of the Chesapeake’s Tate House; transforming a vacant Baltimore City lot into a community green space with Civic Works; and visiting with patients at the Washington DC Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Founded in 1973, Crosby began as a two-person public relations agency promoting a group of local tourist publications. Today, the company is ranked #3 on the Washington Business Journal’s list of largest regional ad agencies, #47 on O’Dwyer’s list of the nation’s largest independent PR firms, and a Top 25 provider on the GSA Advertising & Integrated Marketing (AIMS) schedule.
