Crosby Contributes 360 Volunteer Hours and $20,000 to Local Nonprofits during 2nd Annual ‘Inspiring Actions That Matter’ Day of Service

PhotocollageCrosby Marketing Communications, one of the country’s leading integrated communications firms, recently celebrated its 2ndAnnual “Inspiring Actions That Matter™ Day of Service.” For the entire day, the agency temporarily closed its Annapolis, Md., headquarters and Washington, D.C., office so staff members could participate in service projects with local charities and nonprofit organizations.

The Crosby team donated more than 360 hours of community service in a single day through service projects at four different organizations in the Washington/Baltimore region. Projects included packing donated items at theCapital Area Food Bank in Washington, D.C.; doing home improvements for individuals with cognitive and developmental disabilities through The Arc of the Central Chesapeake Region; building a community rain garden with the South River Federation; and visiting with veterans at the Loch Raven VA Community Living and Rehabilitation Center in Baltimore.

To provide additional support beyond the day of service, Crosby also made a donation of $5,000 to each organization.

“This event has become one of our favorite days of the year,” said agency president Raymond Crosby. “It’s an honor to work with these great organizations to help fulfill our mission of Inspiring Actions That Matter™, and give back to a community that has given so much to us.”
