» Crosby Announces New Hire and Promotion in Interactive Services Group
06.18.08Crosby Marketing Communications announces the addition of Matthew Kilmurry as Interactive Project Manager and the promotion of Fred Jorgensen to Vice President of Interactive Services.
Kilmurry will work on search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) projects for a variety of clients, including MEDEX Global Group, Kaiser Permanente and Dupont. Most recently, Mr. Kilmurry served as director of marketing for SurfTrends, in Jacksonville, Florida. During his five year tenure he helped develop a formula for search engine success.
Jorgensen, who has served as interactive services director at Crosby for nearly two years, will expand his leadership role in the strategic planning and oversight of the busy interactive team.
Fred touches many of Crosby’s clients including CapitalSource, The Bozzuto Group and PinnacleCare.

» Joe Fino Joins Crosby as Director of Marketing Technology

» Crosby Elected to University of Maryland Board
04.23.08Ralph W. Crosby, chairman and CEO of Crosby Marketing Communications, has been elected to the Board of Trustees of the University of Maryland at College Park.
The Trustees govern the College Park campus’ investment and distribution of private funds, serve as advocates, assist and advise the University’s president, and help increase the level of philanthropic support for the University.
Mr. Crosby also serves on the Board of Visitors of the University’s College of Journalism, from which he graduated in 1956. A long-time supporter of the College, he has also endowed an annual scholarship for a journalism student.
Mr. Crosby founded Crosby Marketing in Annapolis, his hometown, in 1973, following a successful journalism stint as a newspaper and magazine editor. Today, Crosby Marketing has a 50-person staff in its Annapolis headquarters and Washington, D.C. office. 03.7.08Crosby Marketing Communications announced an addition to its team, as well as five promotions.
Karin Jorgensen joined the agency’s public relations team as Account Executive, implementing media relations campaigns for such clients as The Bozzuto Group, CAQH and Greenberg Gibbons. Before coming to Crosby, she was an associate at Citigate Cunningham in Boston, Massachusetts, where she worked on media relations programs for a variety of high-tech companies. She has also worked in the corporate communications department of BD, a Fortune 500 company specializing in medical solutions.
Crosby also announced the promotions of five members of its team, including Amy Hitt who was named Vice President, Production Services. Hitt, who has been with Crosby for 13 years, will expand her leadership role in the production of a wide range of multimedia, broadcast and audiovisual projects. She is a member of the Production Club of Baltimore and a graduate of Leadership Anne Arundel’s Flagship Class of 2007.
Matthew Kaler was promoted to Art Director. He has been a member of Crosby’s creative team since 2000 and brings over 15 years of experience as an illustrator and graphic designer to his new role.
In addition, Crosby announced the promotions of Julian Hernandez, named Senior Account Executive, Shannon Benil, promoted to Accounting Manager and Pamela Fasolo, now an Assistant Production Manager.
