Crosby Marketing Communications recently celebrated its 3rd Annual Inspiring Actions That Matter™ Day of Service. The Crosby team donated more than 360 staff hours in a single day and a total of $15,000 to three regionally based nonprofits.
Crosby temporarily closed its Annapolis, Md., headquarters and Washington, D.C. offices for the day as staff members volunteered at organizations in the Washington/Baltimore region. Projects included:
- Planting flower beds, fixing playground equipment and doing repairs at Chrysalis House, which provides addiction treatment and prevention services to women and their at-risk children;
- Interacting with residents and painting a mural of iconic D.C. monuments for SOME (So Others Might Eat) Senior Services, a home for formerly homeless seniors;
- Cleaning and adding plantings to a habitat restoration area with the Severn Riverkeeper, a group dedicated to protecting and restoring the Severn River.
