Recognized for Superior Government Communication Programs

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (July 9, 2015) – Campaigns created by Crosby Marketing Communications recently won two awards from the National Association of Government Communicators. This annual, international awards program recognizes superior government communication programs and those who produce them.

Crosby’s work developing a Facebook campaign for the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA/DHHS) was recognized with the Gold Screen Award in the Social Media category. The campaign, which produced a 200% increase in HRSA’s “organdonor.gov” Facebook community, consisted of a colorful content series that raised awareness of organ, eye and tissue donation while encouraging people to sign up to become organ donors.

The Social Security Administration’s (SSA) “Someday” campaign won second place in the Promotional Campaigns category. Crosby developed the “Someday” television PSA and digital campaign concept and helped SSA execute elements of the cross-platform initiative that encouraged people to plan for their retirement and create a “my Social Security” account to verify their earnings history, estimate their future benefits, and easily manage current benefits online.

“These campaigns are proof that federal government agencies can use innovative, creative communications to engage the American public in impactful ways,” said Raymond Crosby, the firm’s president and CEO. “We’re thrilled to have our work recognized by these prestigious awards.”
